  1. Court runners are a good use of time and money.
  2. Be on time for court.
  3. Take time for your clients prior to the day before your court hearing.
  4. Comply with the filing requirements.
  5. Utilize the website for information.
  6. It's helpful to be an active member of the state bar.
  7. Take part in your County's "Coffee with the Court" or similar program.
  8. Know what resources are available for your clients.
  9. Answer questions of your client and avoid sending them to the clerk's office for information they should obtain from you.
  10. Advise your clients on proper courtroom attire when appropriate.​

Bonus tip:  Some courts will allow staff assistance, as long as they are providing legal information and not legal advice. Properly train your staff, even if they are certified or have degrees knowing the process can only benefit your law office.
